What is Mentoring?

Mentoring is a helping relationship in which an experienced person lends his/her experience, advice and encouragement to another person. The Mentor aids the Mentee's personal, social, educational or professional development.

What kind of experience do I need?

Mentees:

• Be a registered student of Loyalist College.
• Know what information, advice, encouragement and support you will request from the Mentor as well as how to get it.

Mentors:

• Be a graduate of Loyalist College.
• Have completed 3-5 years work experience, post graduation, in a related field.
• Know how to provide the information, advice, encouragement, and support requested by the Mentee as well as when to offer it.
