Classes that are available either on-line or through correspondence are considered Distance Education. Students register as with any regular course, but the classroom is in your own home following your own schedule. You must have Internet access and appropriate software packages for on-line studies. As each course may require different software, interested students should inquire about these requirements before they register.
If you prefer a more flexible study schedule, live at a distance from our campus locations or are unable to attend regular classes, these courses are for you.
Students who register for on-line courses will receive, via Canada Post, sign-on information. Textbooks are available at the College Bookstore in Belleville.
Each course is designed to offer a wide variety of choices as to when and how you learn. Carefully designed activities, self-tests, and projects ensure there is plenty of opportunity to assess your own progress and to receive feedback and guidance from your instructor. Electronic conference areas give you the opportunity to discuss material with other students taking your course.
The following are just a few of the certificate programs available for completion through on-line delivery:
NOTE: To take an on-line course you must have access to a computer and an internet service provider ? some courses also require specific software programs on the hard drive.
