Job Connect - Online Job Postings

FREE Workshops: September to October

How can we help:

• The Information and Resource Service is a community information resource centre where people looking for work can learn more about jobs, careers, the local labour market, training opportunities, and job-search strategies. Staff are available to help.
• Employment Planning and Preparation Services help unemployed individuals establish goals and develop an action plan. Individuals can work with a Career Counsellor on a one-to-one basis or attend group workshops to work towards their goals.
• Job Development and Placement Support helps individuals to follow their action plan by working on a job placement to develop skills related to career goals or achieving secondary school credits.

If you are: 

• out of school and not planning to return to school
• out of work
• not eligible for Workplace Safety Insurance Board benefits
• not a claimant of Employment Insurance benefits
• eligible to work in Canada

Participants can print the following forms and complete them for the Job Connect Program. Once completed please contact us.

Benefits To Employers:

• Free job postings on our job board and website 
• Referral of pre-screened and qualified people who want to work
• Wage re-imbursement negotiable (on an average of $3.00 - $4.00 per hour,
  for 10 - 14 weeks) depending on education and experience
• Workplace accident insurance coverage is available
• Fast service and minimal paper work

Services Available to Employers

Employers who operate a business in North Hastings, Whitney, Cloyne, Denbigh and area and are looking to hire staff, and are willing to provide training can benefit from Job Connect.
