"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and all the staff at the Bancroft campus. With your help I was able to successfully complete the Ministry examinations as they relate to the Ontario Building Code and Bill C124. You answered several questions on how to proceed to get the desired training. You guided me through the process involved in selecting the right examinations in order to get my firm registered with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. I must say that prior to contacting you it was not clear what would be required and it remained unclear as to how to go about meeting the requirements. I would also like to thank Mr. Jeffrey Chalmers who was the facilitator for the OBC courses. He has a wealth of knowledge as it relates to the subject matter and it's doubtful that I would have had much success in the examinations without his help."
"Once again a thanks from a grateful student who made great use of your facilities and hospitality."

"I first heard about Job Connect through some of my friends and family. It was extremely hard to find a job where I live and I didn't even know where to start or who to start with. So I went to Job Connect in Bancroft at Loyalist College. They first helped me by helping me make a resume. They help you gather all your old jobs and sort them in an order to form a professional resume. They then help you with what you want to do and try to find a job in that field. They help you send out your resumes to jobs that you are unaware even exist at the time. They keep in touch with you for all the little courses they offer and tell you any jobs that come up that you maybe interested in. They keep in touch to see if you have found a job and just to see how everything is going at your current job.
Michelle Perk has been very helpful throughout the last few years. She is always looking for new jobs and opportunities that someone maybe interested in. She is always on top of everything and keeps in touch whenever it is needed. She has been very helpful and I'm very grateful for all her help she has given me throughout the past few years."

"Since the day I walked through the college doors I received nothing but assistance from friendly and educated staff at Loyalist College Job Connect. After getting laid off back in 2004, the Community Resource Room assisted me with my job search, cover letter and resume preparation which got me back on my feet and with full time employment again. In spring of 2008 I decided that I would like to pursue my education. The staff helped me get my First Aid and CPR as well as pursue my education in the healthcare field which is of interest to me. Being out of school since 1983, and a male of 45 years it was a big step to come back to complete my education. My confidence level has increased incredibily from the day that I walked in the college door. The atmosphere is great, I never feel intimidated to ask a question and I know that the answer is always there. Having the high speed internet accessible to me in the resource room allows me to look at the job market and research the health care field opportunities. My goal is to further my education and be enrolled in the paramedic program at Loyalist College. I know that when that day comes, if I require any assistance the resource staff will be there for me then as well."

"After meeting one-on-one with a Job Developer in 2006, I was guided in the right direction to complete my GED. After the completion of my GED, the Community Resource Room staff assisted me with my cover letter, resume and job searching skills. Looking back over the last two years I have had two work placement through the Job Connect program, and absolutely loved both of them. Both positions were very successful and fit my lifestyle perfectly. I would recommend the Job COnnect program to anyone who is looking for a career or a career change."

"When I had the opportunity to return to school I thought at 53 years old can I do this; it didn't take long for any fear to disappear when I walked through the door of this college. I needed help with doing the application to return to school. The first person to greet me was Sarah, a young gal who helped me do this procedure, without her help I would probably still be trying to fill them out. I have been here now since November 2008 - the professionals who work in the resource room are friendly, helpful and are there when needed."

"From being new to the area Job Connect made me feel welcome and pointed me in the right direction. The staff was very attentive; I even got phone calls at home about different job opportunities and training that suited me, they pointed me in the right direction. This was my first exposure to the Bancroft area and it was a positive one. It made my transition much smoother knowing that I had Job Connect behind my back and helping me in every corner."

"When I first walked into the Loyalist Bancroft Campus I had the full support from the team. They guided me through my computer skills, upgrading and gave me the confidence to believe in myself. The PSW program was excellent. I am proud to represent Loyalist College as a graduate. This year's hard work, determination, effort in my program along with the support provided by staff, culminated in a special evening to honour our accomplishments. I would highly recommend Loyalist and the PSW program to anyone who wants to pursue a career or improve their academic skills."
