This is Sidney. He is one of our two computer software driven mannequins. Sidney has vital signs and can even talk. We use Sidney to replicate real patient situations and conditions. You can give Sidney medications in many different routes including: oral, injection or suppository. |

This is one of our Nursing Anne Vital Sim mannequins. The Vital Sim Mannequins are run by remotes. Students use these to practice vital signs and other skills. These mannequins can also be used for simulations because they can also talk. |

This is our child sized mannequin, named Jordan. Jordan gives students the opportunity to practice skills on a child. |

Jordan has wound modules to simulate burns, broken bones and road rash. |

Noelle is our birthing mannequin. She actually delivers a baby in 5-20 minutes! |

Taylor is our SimBaby. She is also run by a computer. She has vital signs, can cry and even move. |

The patient Kelly mannequins are used for basic care. Here at the lab we use them for bathing and transferring as well as suctioning the airway. |

Injections can be practiced in the correct places on the mannequin or on these more specific task trainers designed for practicing injections. |

This is the voice changer software we use to make SimMan sound like a man when there is actually a woman in the control room talking. |

Our mock Omnicell is used to replicate the medication dispensing system used in the hospitals. |

In pairs or groups, student practice turning, positioning and transferring one another and the mannequins. |

Students set-up for a catheterization, on a Vital Sim, using sterile technique. |

Sim Man has wound modules which can simulate an infection. Students can actually practice swabbing the wound and then applying a clean dressing. |

Students are able to practice skills such as monitoring a patients blood glucose levels. |

Students use the Kelly mannequin to practice suctioning. |

Students practice listening to fetal heart rates. |

This patient is having twins! Students are part of a delivery simulation. In this picture one student is supporting Noelle, while the other delivers the baby. Congratulations Noelle! |

With help from the instructor students administer a blood transfusion and apply the proper interventions when an adverse reaction takes place. |

Students also use MicroSim virtual Emergency Room to develop critical thinking and clinical judgement. |
