At Loyalist College we are very proud to offer our students convenient meal plan options, using a debit card system. We want you to let us do the shopping, preparing, cooking, and cleanup, while you enjoy a great tasting and nutritious meal!

How Does It Work?
The meal plan program utilizes a declining balance system. This means that when you select your food choices, money which you have placed on your meal plan is deducted. You are in control of your own "food credit" budget and have complete flexibility in menu selection and eating times. Your meal card is valid in both our school cafeteria and Tim Hortons, located in the Student Centre, which are both just a three minute walk from the residence. Just present your card at a designated cash register and it will be debited based on your purchase.
Also... it's tax free!
The best part of this plan is that when you purchase a prepaid meal plan card, your meals are GST and PST free! That means that all meal purchases, excluding confectionary items, made with your Meal Card are 100% sales tax free (a 14% savings for purchases over $4.00).
Choices, choices, and more choices...
The main college cafeteria is located just inside the main doors of the Kente Building and provides service from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Full breakfast and lunch services are provided, as well as a full dinner menu available during the evening hours. The cafeteria offers many freshly made salads, pitas, pizzas, homemade soups, pastas, stir-fries, lunch entrees, fresh-baked goods, gourmet coffee and juices daily.
You can also enjoy the well-known menu from Tim Hortons, which is located in our Student Centre. The hours for the on-campus Tim Hortons are available in September.
