In September 2004, Loyalist held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of its new fitness centre. The doors opened to reveal an impressive facility that has doubled in size from the previous centre and contains equipment far superior in quality and quantity. This fitness facility is the result of a Student Government initiative that was presented to the College administration. Construction took place throughout the summer months. It was funded by the students through a $30.00 ancillary fee that will ensure that future Loyalist students will have a top-of-the-line facility to address their personal fitness needs.
