THE ART OF BAKING BREAD
John Schneeberger, Culinary Program
From humble loaf to gastronomic star, bread is enjoying increased popularity today with many artisanal bakers providing a wide variety of styles flavours and textures.  Join Loyalist Culinary Professor and finalist in the 2008 TVO Best Lecturer Series, John Schneeberger, as he teaches you how to make an outstanding loaf of bread. This will be a hands-on session so come prepared to roll up your sleeves and knead some dough. Limited to 20 participants, admission to this session will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Register early.

Workshop 2
WELLNESS vs HEALTH
Lorri Taylor, Leisure and Recreation Services
This 90 minute session will briefly discuss the concepts of Health and Wellness. Participants will explore the Wellness Continuum and identify their own wellness using tools provided by the instructor. In addition, achieving and maintaining physical health will also be discussed.  Useful handouts and additional tools related to this subject will also be provided.

The Olympic Games have evolved into one of the most-watched sports events in the world. They mix politics, big business and entertainment. Loyalist Professor Mary Jollimore, a sports journalist who's covered the Olympics since 1980, will lead a discussion on what makes the Games the ultimate reality-TV event.
