A Cultural Path to Wellness is a 20-hour course facilitated by Suzanne Katsi’tsiarihshion Brant. It is being offered over five consecutive Saturdays, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Suzanne Katsi’tsiarihshion Brant, M.E.S., I.M.C., P.H.C.P., is a Mohawk from the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory and is recognized as a traditional health educator. Suzanne graduated from the Institute of Integrated Medicine as an Integrated Medical Clinician. She has a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University. Suzanne’s focus over the past 20 years has been around the preservation of Indigenous knowledge. Her interest has included traditional uses of medicinal plants and the role culture plays in the preservation of the natural environment. Suzanne is currently working with the First Nations Technical Institute as the Indigenous Health and Environment Manager. Her duties include supervising instruction staff; providing leadership for program development; writing and monitoring grants; serving as project manager for a variety of projects; developing and teaching courses; developing and teaching professional development workshops. Suzanne is a member of the Haudenosaunee Environmental Task Force and is currently on the Board of Governors for St. Lawrence College.
