February 20, 2010
After eight successful years Loyalist College’s Junior Iron chef competition is back. This competition is about giving high school students with the passion for the culinary arts a stage to show off their skills. . This year the protein for the competition will be pork tenderloin as the entree and scallops as the appetizer. Each team will have two hours to cook and plate the appetizers, entrees and desserts before presenting them to the judges. They will be marked on professionalism, health and safety and of course the appearance, taste and skill of the dish.
In addition to the Junior Iron Chef Competition, Loyalist College is hosting a Food and Beverage Show on February, 20, 2010 from 10am- 4pm. Local businesses will have the opportunity to display their products and services to the community.
