Get Started With This Checklist


Confirm your seat in the program by the due date on the offer letter you received in the mail

Confirm online at or by calling 1-888-892-2228 (in Canada only) or 519-763-4725. Please ensure that you have your offer of admission with you when you call.


Pay College tuition fees

Tuition and ancillary fees for diploma and certificate programs (two semesters) are approximately $4,040.94. An invoice will be mailed in May for September start students and in November for January start students.* Please make payment arrangements by the date specified on your invoice. Provide proof of completion of academic requirements

If you haven’t already done so, please forward proof of successful completion of all required courses to For most programs, the deadline is July 31 for September start students and December 2 for January start students.* This includes proof of graduation and marks from high school, post-secondary education, correspondence courses, adult upgrading or summer school, except for programs that are oversubscribed. If you’re a secondary school student, this offer is conditional upon completion of your secondary school diploma and meeting the requirements of your program.


Apply for Transfer Credit, Exemption, and/or Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition

Do you have previous education or related experience? Contact for information or to schedule an advising appointment. Additional documentation/transcripts may be required.


Return your immunization record

A number of programs require you to submit a completed immunization record to the Loyalist College Health Centre by July 31 for September start students and December 15 for January start students.* Visit the Health Centre website for a link to the immunization record form and a list of programs. Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

While official documentation is not required for program admission, a clean, current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check through the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) may be required for program field placements. Please visit your program page to confirm. The vulnerable sector check can take up to four months for your local police service to complete.


Apply for Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

Apply for OSAP at You can do this as early as May for both September and January start students. If you prefer a paper application, please print one from the website. If you have questions, call 613-969-1913, ext. 2425 or 2226.


Apply for scholarships and bursaries

You can apply for entrance scholarships and bursaries online between January 3 (9 am) – January 18 (12 pm).  Please visit Awards, Bursaries and Scholarships for applications and information.


Submit your Residence application

Apply online, visit Residence.


Pay your Residence fees and return your roommate questionnaire

Residence fees must be received by June 15 for September start students and by December 18 for January start students in order to maintain your room in Residence.
