Belleville, Ontario, May 29, 2014 – Loyalist College is proud to announce that Loyalist Photojournalism graduates and student placed within the top three spots of 13 out of 14 categories of the News Photographers Association of Canada (NPAC) awards. Announced at the National Pictures of the Year awards gala in Vancouver on May 24th, the NPAC awards recognize excellence in Canadian Photojournalism.
Student Photojournalist of the year is second-year Loyalist Photojournalism student Hannah Yoon from Waterloo. Photojournalist of the Year, for the second consecutive year, is 1991 Loyalist Photojournalism graduate John Lehmann whose photos also placed first and third in General News, second in Sports Action and third in Feature category.
