College Hosts Model UN

On November 23 Loyalist Bioscience Professors Jacki Hansford and Eric Bauer, in partnership with United Nations Association of Canada (UNAC) – Quinte, facilitated the second annual model UN to be held on campus. Third-year Environmental students acted as ambassadors for countries drawn from South America. The topic for the day’s agenda was Water Scarcity and Scarcity Induced Conflict. Keith Taylor, Director of the Quinte Drinking Water Source Protection program, gave the opening address.
