New Aboriginal Construction Renovation Program Begins at Loyalist

February 19, 2014

On February 18, 2014, Loyalist celebrated the launch of the new Aboriginal Construction Renovation program. The innovative program began in February and was developed in response to requests from industries and Aboriginal communities.

In addition to construction renovation skills, the 16-week program contains a wide range of core classes which include math, communications, computers, and industry-recognized safety training such as WHMIS, fall arrest, first aid and confined space training. After successful completion of the program, the students will graduate with a Loyalist College Certificate, providing them with the option to enter the construction renovation field, or the opportunity to continue in the College’s Construction Renovation certificate or diploma programs.
