New Loyalist-Trent Journalism Program Starting 2012-2013
The journalist’s role is to tell a society’s stories so that citizens are able to understand their world and make informed decisions. Story telling is at the heart of the new fully-integrated Loyalist-Trent Journalism program that prepares graduates to be informed, critically-aware, and highly technically skilled journalists.
Combining the best of college and university education, graduates will earn an Ontario college advanced diploma in Journalism (Online, Print and Broadcast) from Loyalist College, as well as a Trent joint-major honours (B.A. or B.Sc.) degree in Journalism and another discipline of their choice. Depending on the discipline, the program can be completed in four or five years of full-time study.
