Services We Provide

The Health Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room 1H7 (closed Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) Some of the services provided by the Health Centre include:

• Physician available Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 pm - Please make an appointment
• Referral to appropriate community resources, specialists
• Resource information
• Nursing care assessment
• Non-prescription drugs for minor illnesses
• Immunizations
• STI Testing
• Emergency medical care
• Counselling, treatment and information on personal, medical, or emotional problems
• Well Women Care (Pap tests)
• Preventive health care
• Temporary sick bays
• Advice concerning Health Insurance
• Drug and Accident Insurance forms
• Condoms; discount birth control

The Health Centre is staffed by a full time registered nurse, a full time medical office assistant with first aid training and a consulting physician who conducts weekly scheduled clinics at the Centre.

Prescription Coverage:

Each full time student is enrolled in an insurance plan. It covers 80% of most prescription drugs. (Note: There are a few exceptions.) For more information contact the Health Centre - brochures are available. The plan also includes some accident insurance.
