Students seeking a peer tutor need need simply click on the "Request a Tutor" link below and complete the on-line Request for Tutor form. The Cooridnator of the Peer Tutoring and Academic Skills Centre will search for an appropriate tutor and will email confirmation of that match to the student. Once an appropriate tutor is found, the student will meet with the Coordinator to sign a student-tutor contract and receive the name and contact information of the peer tutor - a successful upper-year student who will provide study time and assistance.
It is the responsibility of the student to contact the tutor to arrange for a mutually convenient time to meet. Students and tutors are encouraged to meet for the first time in the Peer Tutoring and Academic Skills Centre - subsequent meeting can take place anywhere on campus.
Students wishing to become a peer tutor must maintain a cumulative GPA of 70% or higher, and must have achieved a GPA of 80% or higher in the courses they wish to tutor.
