    By integrating science and engineering concepts with industry-specific technologies, civil engineering technicians and technologists assist in the monitoring and inspection of civil infrastructure projects. An education in civil engineering can offer many opportunities – leading to rewarding careers both in the office and out in the field, in areas such as structural design, municipal engineering, transportation construction and geotechnical engineering.

    Learn how to integrate science and engineering concepts with industry-specific technologies to assist in the development and implementation of project goals in accordance with project plans, sustainability practices, and industry laws, codes and standards.

    • Business Administration – Accounting

    Accounting is more than filing taxes and bookkeeping. It’s about understanding a business from the ground up and guiding it through sound financial practice. Every business has a numbers story. Whether it’s in the fields of art, health, fashion, real estate or sports — the options are endless. Explore a career path that can take you virtually anywhere. Accounting skills are in demand in virtually every field:

    • You could work as a financial analyst, accountant, budget officer, account manager, financial planner, payroll officer or external auditor.
    • There are opportunities in arts and entertainment, news media, marketing, manufacturing, education, health and wellness, service industries and sports organizations.
    • Find the right fit — employers include large and small enterprises, as well as not-for-profit agencies — or start your own business.
    • With third-year studies in Canadian Public Sector Financial Management, advanced diploma graduates are uniquely positioned to take advantage of growing opportunities in the public sector and not-for-profits.     Session Details: A career in business is more than numbers and banking – it’s a complex balance of finance, marketing, products and services you offer, and the people behind them. The two-year Business program provides grads with the skills for:

    • Entry-level positions within the business, not-for-profit and retail sectors.
    • Careers as logistics coordinators, event coordinators, retail managers, production supervisors and shift supervisors. Grads of the three-year Business Administration program earn specialized skills tailored for careers in: Human resource administration, industrial relations, training and development, staff planning and job analysis, occupational health and safety, and purchasing and quality control.

    Session Details: Not sure which career path to follow? Explore your options while earning college-level credits that you can apply towards another program or a university degree. A broad education in arts and science provides the foundation to succeed in a wide range of careers: Graduates become teachers, social service workers, correctional officers, retail managers and entrepreneurs. A diploma will prepare you for managerial positions in government, education, criminal justice, human services, education, business, manufacturing, media, technology and communications, to name a few. Others continue their education in a college post-graduate program, or apply their credits towards advanced standing at university.
