What are KPIs?
Surveys of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are conducted annually for each College of Applied Arts & Technology in Ontario by an independent research firm on behalf of the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and Colleges Ontario.
Loyalist College exceeds the provincial average in all five KPIs
Provincial Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results released on September 25, 2019 reinforce the strength of college education as an effective route into the workforce. The research shows that 88.5 percent of 2017-18 Loyalist College graduates were employed within six months after graduation, compared to the provincial average of 86.2 percent for Ontario’s 24 colleges.
The College has a strong tradition in graduate employment – Loyalist grads have always achieved high placement rates relative to the college system, and once again this year our results are above the provincial average.
Other KPI results show that Loyalist placed above the provincial average for all five annual KPIs, including graduate satisfaction (80.5 percent vs. 79.9 percent), employer satisfaction (91.1 percent vs. 89.6 percent), student satisfaction (80.9 percent vs. 75.7 percent) and graduation rate (68.3 percent vs. 67.2 percent).
How are OSAP default rates tracked?
Ontario Student Loan (OSL) default rates are provided to the colleges each year by the ministry’s Student Financial Assistance branch. A common methodology has been used for the calculations for all program-related information provided by all colleges and the data are updated annually.
See below for a full listing of graduate employment rates, graduation statistics and OSL default rates by program. Please note that the approved program sequence (APS) number is assigned by the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities; program names may vary slightly from how they are posted elsewhere on this site.
