This training session is FREE; however, registration is required.
In this session we’re going to talk about the things that come up when we’re navigating consent. How do you know when yes means yes? What’s the deal with alcohol and consent? How are boundaries and communication helpful? With the goal of creating positive and affirming relationships with the people in our lives we’ll also talk about consent beyond the bedroom, taking the stigma out of sex, and how to navigate coercion in its many forms.
About the Instructor:
Ellen Carlisle has been working at the Sexual Assault Centre for Quinte and District (SACQD) as the Public Educator and a Counsellor for over five years and is enthusiastic about facilitating accessible chats about sexual violence. SACQD has been providing services for survivors of sexual violence since 1991 and is working towards putting an end to sexual violence through education and community outreach. We have feminist, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and trauma informed values behind all the work we do.
