Travellers who are fully vaccinated with an ‘accepted vaccine’ as per the Canadian Federal Government may be exempted from quarantine requirements upon entry to Canada and must follow the outlined entry requirements.
Travellers claiming to be fully vaccinated are still required to register their travel plans with our International Office and present a suitable Quarantine Plan upon arrival in Canada for at least 14 days. Final determination for any exemptions to the quarantine will be made by a government representative at the border based on the information presented at the time of entry into Canada.
- It will be determined by CBSA Official whether all the required standards are met in order to be exempt from the quarantine. Should you be advised by the CBSA official that you are exempt from the quarantine, you must follow the instructions on your quarantine package to book your quarantine with our partner hotel in Toronto on the spot.
- Loyalist College does not permit students to quarantine on their own as this does not qualify as a suitable or approved plan.
Students who are fully vaccinated are still required to register their travel plans with Loyalist College, complete the online webform, submit required documents and notify Loyalist College of travel dates to receive supporting documentation to enter Canada.
There are no exceptions for partially-vaccinated travellers.
