If the number of recruiters participating is any indication, Loyalist College students will have plenty of opportunity to explore career options on Thursday, February 10th, at the College’s 14th Annual Career Fair. This year, approximately 80 organizations will be on site, including universities hoping to recruit graduates interested in pursuing higher education, to regional businesses of all sizes that are recruiting for positions within their companies.
Laura Naumann, Manager of Career and Alumni Services at Loyalist explained, “The purpose of the Fair is to give Loyalist students and graduates the opportunity to discuss part-time, summer and entrepreneurial opportunities with employers, as well as to network and explore post-graduate studies. We are excited about the level of employer participation during these challenging economic times and feel that the positive response is a direct result of the reputation that both Loyalist and our graduates have worked for and continue to enjoy.
Many of the same organizations return to the Fair each year because they are so impressed with the preparedness and enthusiasm of our students. Faculty and staff are also impressed—with the number of recruiters attending who are Loyalist graduates! We are very pleased and proud to have our alumni return to their alma mater when their employers are looking to fill available positions.”
The Career Fair is well-supported by faculty at the College, many of whom make it a requirement for their students to attend and complete assignments based on their experience.
The Fair will take place in the cafeteria and gymnasium located in the College’s Kente building. Some of the employers participating include:
