Kylie Rogers“I was really excited when I heard that we were going to plan this event,” said student Kylie Rogers. “I had no idea that I would also learn so many skills in the process. Working within a budget, discovering the importance of time management, and interacting with the media, made promoting this party an excellent learning opportunity.”

Jamee Ward Jamee Ward agreed that applying her skills to a project of this scope was a valuable learning experience. “This was definitely an interesting class project but it was made even better because it feels good organizing something for the community. This is something different — something fun. We hope that those attending have as much fun that evening as we have had in planning it.”

Proceeds will go toward Interactive Live Music Funding for the Quinte Public and Separate School Boards, encouraging student involvement in music. The event has been organized by the College’s second-year Hospitality Management students and tickets can be purchased at; Red Ball Radio, The Quinte Arts Council, online at http://www.loyalblues.ca or from Loyalist College Hospitality Management students.
