Bancroft, Ontario, December 19, 2017 – This year, five students were provided with $1,000 Entrance Awards as part of the 50 Entrance Awards presented in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the College. College President Ann Marie Vaughan joined with staff at the Bancroft campus to thank the Kawartha Credit Union (KCU), represented by Tina Doucet, Branch Manager Bancroft.
The KCU has been providing financial support to students at the Bancroft campus since 2009. Today’s donation brings their total to $33,000.
Loyalist College Bancroft Campus is a vibrant and busy satellite campus of Loyalist College in Belleville. The College prepares students for a rewarding career by combining rigorous academic standards with hands-on training from industry experts. Since 1967, the Bancroft Campus has been a leader in developing and implementing diploma and certificate programs to Bancroft and the surrounding areas. It has extended its services in Ontario through outreach programs in locations such as: Amherstview, Barry’s Bay, Campbellford, Christian Island, Curve Lake, Napanee, Northbrook, Picton, Rama, Sharbot Lake and Tweed. Loyalist is committed to helping students find great jobs, as well as supporting and enhancing the economic and social development of all individuals in its communities. The Campus is also the home of Loyalist’s Employment Ontario programs, offered through the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development for Bancroft and North Hastings communities, and beyond.
