The Loyalist College Alumni Association is in the midst of planning 40th Anniversary celebrations and encourages all Loyalist graduates to bring their energy and creativity to this exciting process by attending the Alumni holiday celebration and Annual General Meeting on Friday, November 30th. The past few months have been filled with program reunions and special events to commemorate this milestone and the Association is eager to receive input for the months ahead.
“The Alumni Executive has asked that everyone give some thought to what events they would like to see happen in the upcoming months and to bring their suggestions to the meeting,” said Connie Millar, Manager of Employment and Alumni Services. “The highlight of the anniversary year is going to be the Homecoming celebration scheduled for June 2008. Suggestions from alumni are very important to their planning and they would like to hear what would bring them and their former classmates home to Loyalist.”
The Alumni Association is inviting all Loyalist graduates to be their guests at Club 213, the College dining room, for a reception at 5:30 p.m. and dinner to follow at 6:00 p.m. The Alumni Distinction Awards will be presented as part of the evening’s activities. These awards have been created to honour the contributions Loyalist graduates make to society through career success and volunteer work.
