Belleville, ON, Nov. 9, 2022 – On Dec. 1, Loyalist College invites the Bay of Quinte community to attend a fireside chat with Arlene Dickinson, esteemed entrepreneur and star of the hit TV show, Dragons’ Den.
“Loyalist College is thrilled to open its doors to the community and host one of the most vibrant minds in Canadian entrepreneurship,” said Mark Kirkpatrick, Acting President of Loyalist College. “Ms. Dickinson’s fireside chat will mark the inaugural installment of the Loyalist College Speaker Series. This is a chance for students, Loyalist College employees and residents of the Bay of Quinte region to come together on campus to be inspired by the leaders, innovators and disruptors who shape our world.”
Arlene Dickinson is the General Partner of District Ventures Capital, a venture capital fund focused on helping to market, fund, and grow entrepreneurs and their companies in the food and health space. A three-time best-selling author and accomplished public speaker, Dickinson is widely recognized for her role as a Dragon/Venture Capitalist on CBC’s award-winning series, Dragons’ Den. Ms. Dickinson’s leadership has been recognized through countless awards and honours, including the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Award. She served as an Honorary Captain in the Royal Canadian Navy for many years.
