LOYALIST COLLEGE PHOTOJOURNALISM GRADUATES RECEIVE ONTARIO COMMUNITY NEWSPAPERS ASSOCIATION BETTER NEWSPAPERS COMPETITION AWARDS

Belleville, Ontario, April 27, 2016 – Loyalist College is proud to announce that 2015 Photojournalism graduates Annie Sakkab, Carla Antonio and Alyssa Lloyd are recipients of the Ontario Community Newspapers Association’s (OCNA) Better Newspapers Competition Awards.

“Powerful storytelling and photography impacts our community and gives us important insights into the world in which we live,” said Kathleen Bazkur, Acting Dean, Loyalist School of Media, Arts + Design. “These awards reflect the calibre of work our students produce in Loyalist’s state-of-the-art Digital Media Centre, a hub for creative reporting.”
