Loyalist College is preparing to host the 4th Annual Empty Bowls fundraising event on Saturday, March 29th in support of the Quinte Region Food Share Shelter (QRFSS), a collective of eight area food banks.
Guests are encouraged to make a difference by purchasing a handcrafted bowl donated by local potters. With this, they will receive a bowl of gourmet soup prepared by Loyalist Chef John Schneeberger, Loyalist Culinary Management students and Dinkel’s Restaurant in Belleville. Loyalist Social Service Worker students are actively involved with planning and coordinating the day’s activities. Guests are encouraged to enjoy local musical talent as they browse the marketplace, where potters and small business owners will sell unique, handcrafted items.
Proceeds raised at the event will go toward food banks in Deseronto, Picton, Marmora, Stirling, Wellington, Northbrook, Belleville and Loyalist College.
