Loyalist Donates Summer Camp Bags to United Way

August 27, 2010

After another fun and exciting season of camps for kids and teens, Heather Cockerline, of the Loyalist Continuing Education Department, thought of the perfect ending to a great season. She contacted Amy Watkins, Director of Community Investment, United Way of Quinte, and arranged to donate the remaining summer camp shoulder and lunch bags to the agency’s Good Backpack Campaign.

This summer 325 kids and teens participated in the College’s selection of 33 summer camps. Some of the camp choices were Web Page Design, Golf Camps, Detective Science, Let’s Light up Broadway and Multi-Sport Camp — a selection built upon favorites from the past and exciting new additions.
