Loyalist President Maureen Piercy welcomed participants in this year’s Relay for Life on June 25th. One hundred and nine teams registered in the 10th annual event, organized by the Hastings-Prince Edward unit of the Canadian Cancer Society. There were 240 survivors who participated in the survivors’ walk and over 2,000 luminaries were lit. To date over $318,000 has been raised and the donations are still coming in.
