Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities and, MPP for Prince Edward-Hastings and the Minister of Education visit Loyalist College

Minister John Milloy and Leona Dombrowsky, MPP for Prince Edward-Hastings and Minister of Education,  visited the College this afternoon to discuss an announcement made in Kingston earlier today. President Piercy, Board of Governors Chair, Stuart Wright, staff, and members of the media gathered in the boardroom to hear how OSAP will be improved to make it easier to apply for student aid. Minister Milloy explained that, starting this year, university and college students will be able to apply for OSAP three months earlier. The ability to apply in February rather than May will help students to better plan ahead for college and university. Additionally, Ontario is putting applications for part-time students on a brand-new OSAP website. These changes will help students plan their budgets earlier and better understand the types of financial assistance available.
