Public relations, media and communications specialists gathered at the Bay of Quinte Country Club for Marketwire Morning Mingle hosted by the post-graduate Public Relations students from Loyalist College. The event included keynote speaker Mark Hunter LaVigne of Hunter LaVigne Communications Inc., an Aurora-based creative communications firm. Mark offered insight on ways to get media coverage — ways to make messages unique, newsworthy and selected from thousands of others.
Chris Douma is one of the Public Relations students who helped organize the event. “I feel that the Marketwire Morning Mingle was a great success. It gave me and my fellow classmates an opportunity to meet professionals in the different fields we are interested in. The speaker was very relevant for all of us, as he covered a wide range of subjects that supported his topic of how to get ink in today’s media.”
