The Fall 2007 FOCUS course calendar will be distributed in area newspapers the weekend of August 17th. The calendar lists on-campus and distance education course offerings as well as the classes offered in Bancroft; Brighton; Napanee, Amherstview and Odessa; Picton and Wellington; Stirling; Trent Hills – Campbellford, Hastings and Warkworth; Trenton; and Moira Secondary School in Belleville. Over 700 courses are available at the main campus on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road and throughout the College’s four-county area. The full listing of Continuing Education courses is available on-line at www.loyalistfocus.com. Many on-line classes begin September 7th and most on-campus classes start the week of September 10th.
Exciting courses in this Fall’s calendar include: Capture the Moment Photography, Belly Dancing, Feng Shui, Demystifying the Myth of Investing and the new Prime Time 55+ workshops. Be inspired by Janet Craig’s demonstration of how to use the freshest local ingredients to create a delicious Tuscan Fall Feast. Start by walking and learn to run in the Running Buddies course, or learn the basics of teaching a variety of creative methods in The Art of Teaching Art. Take advantage of the flexibility of studying part-time while working toward a career-oriented certificate or diploma. For part-time learners who need the flexibility that distance education offers, join 5,000 on-line students across the province in OntarioLearn courses.
