Joy Peacock has achieved outstanding success both academically and professionally since graduating from the Loyalist College Nursing program. She has earned a Master of Science and Bachelor of Nursing Science degree, and completed a diploma in Critical Care Nursing. 

For the past two years Joy has advocated for the nursing profession and helped shape policy as the Executive Director of the Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA) and on August 5, it was announced that she has accepted the role of Executive Director for the Association of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (ARNBC). ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
With the new school year fast approaching. I'm reminded of all the fond memories of attending Loyalist College. I would like to take this time to welcome our new and returning students to Loyalist.  Members of the Alumni Executive, including me, will be participating in the orientation programs on September 2 to greet and help students during their first day.

GRAD RECEIVES PAUL HARRIS FELLOWS AWARD
Ken Breau, a 1986 Television Broadcasting graduate, received the Paul Harris Fellows award from the Rotary Club of Brantford. The award recognizes individuals who meet high professional and personal standards set forth by Paul Harris, the Rotary Club's founder. Read more.

STUDENTS RECEIVE AWARDS FROM THE OACETT QUINTE CHAPTER
On May 26, the OACETT Eastern Region Quinte Chapter awarded Civil Engineering Technology student Barry Doyle with the OACETT Quinte Chapter Award for Academic Proficiency, and Architectural Technology student Katrine Dussault received the OACETT/Northumberland Road Builders Association Bursary. On June 11, Practical Nursing student Sarah Ryckman received the Kay Stafford Memorial Bursary, awarded to improve health care services in the community. Read more.
BASKETBALL TEAM TRAINS AT LOYALIST FOR INDIGENOUS GAMES
During the week of July 14, the College hosted a basketball team from Nunavut to use our facilities to prepare for the North American Indigenous Games. Read more.
