Remarkable Women of Quinte
Loyalist College congratulates Public Relations Coordinator and Professor Kerry Ramsay as the 2014 Remarkable Woman of Quinte. The College would also like to congratulate nominees Melanie MacDonald (General Arts and Science Diploma, 2000) and Rosie Ouellette, (Leading and Managing in a Non-Profit Environment Certificate) for their outstanding contribution to the community. Advertising Grad Launches New Website for Katie Couric
Shawn Patriquin, a 1993 Advertising graduate, landed a major contract back in May 2014 to have his company, They Integrate Inc,. create and launch the new website for Yahoo's Global News Anchor Katie Couric. 
Post-Graduate Fair, November 12

New Look for myCareer Portal
The Career Centre has recently updated its myCareer Portal, an online job board exclusive to Loyalist students and alumni. The Career Centre receives hundreds of job postings annually from employers who post specifically seeking Loyalist graduates or current students for full-time, part-time, placement and summer positions. Sign up here.      
Free Job Search Network for Alumni
Loyalist is pleased to partner with Magnet, an initiative co-founded by Ryerson University and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. The program will gather real-time information about local job markets and provide access to a network of over 60,000 employers, and employment-focused organizations across Ontario. This network will search over two million jobs and match job seekers to opportunities based on their specific skills and interests. Alumni can create a profile online. Questions? Scotiabank Supports Campaign
The College is pleased to announce a major donation from Scotiabank in support of the Campaign for Loyalist College. The commitment of $50,000 will benefit the Sustainable Skills, Technology and Life Sciences Centre on campus. Read more.

TD Bank Group Supports Campaign
On October 28, the College received a donation of $100,000 from TD Bank Group in support of the Campaign for Loyalist College. The donation will be used for the Biosciences Labs in the Sustainable Skills, Technology and Life Sciences Centre. 
Congrats Nursing Scholarship Recipient
Loyalist College is pleased to congratulate Vanessa Comish, recipient of the 2014 Brock University-Loyalist College Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Scholarship. Read more.
Bancroft Campus Graduation Ceremony
The College proudly awarded 66 diplomas and certificates to 60 graduates at the 15th Annual Bancroft Campus Graduation Ceremony on October 2. Read more.
200 Students Enjoy Chili Lunch
The Alumni Association co-hosted a student event with Student Government and Aramark. Students were treated to a free Chili Lunch on October 7 in the Loyalist Dining Hall. Close to 200 students attended the event.

Inaugural Quinte Repair Café
On October 25, the College teamed up with community partners, Quinte Waste Solutions and Bay of Quinte Region, to host the area's first Repair Café at the Core Arts and Culture Centre in downtown Belleville. Read more.
Save the Date! 
The Alumni Association will be hosting its Annual General Meeting and Distinction Awards Ceremony on Friday, November 28 at 5:30 pm in Loyalist's Club 213. During the evening, the Alumni Association will present Alumni Distinction and Employer Recognition Awards.

After dinner, elections for five executive positions will take place. If you are interested in one of these volunteer positions please contact Alumni Services at alumni@loyalistc.on.ca or 613-969-1913 ext. 2307 for more information.
