Loyalist College Brings Gemini Award-Winning Broadcaster Linda Sims to Empire Theatre, Tuesday, October 28
Loyalist College is pleased to present Linda Sims, at the College’s Prime Time 55+ event being held on October 28 at 7:00 at the Empire Theatre. The Gemini Award-Winning CTV business editor will address “The Great Unwinding”, highlighting how the bursting of the credit bubble is hitting our companies, our markets and our retirement dreams. In support of this timely topic she will draw on her 20 plus years of experience in covering the top business stories and talking with hundreds of business leaders and analysts to discuss current challenges.
Linda Sims has an impressive résumé that includes more than 500 interviews with top CEOs, market leaders, innovators, and public figures. From more than a decade on CBC’s premier business program, VENTURE, to her years as business anchor on CTV’s Canada AM Newsnet, and now reporting on the markets for Business News Network, she is known for going beyond the headlines. Ms. Sims will provide context for the often-confusing events of the day. She will cut through the business buzzwords and provide a presentation that is informative, insightful, thought-provoking and entertaining.
