The local student(s) with the most popular rap about higher education will win a netbook computer as part of a Colleges Ontario contest that visits Belleville on Thursday, November 12th.
The contest will be visiting Nicholson Catholic College at 11:00 on November 12th. Students will appear on a video set to record raps about their plans for post-secondary education after high school. The most popular video at each school, based on on-line student votes, will win that rapper a netbook portable computer.
The video contest tour is part of the Ontario colleges’ province-wide advertising campaign promoting options in higher education. The colleges have been running advertisements that promote the messages, “It’s all about M.E.” and “C’est M.A. Vie,” encouraging students to pursue the higher education options that best suit their interests and strengths.
