The Loyalist College Student Government has elected an interim President, Ms. Jessica Bourque. She assumes the position from Bobby Tozer, who has resigned.
A graduate of the Broadcast Journalism program in 2007, Jessica is currently enrolled in the Post-Graduate Public Relations program. She brings a wealth of experience to the leadership position. She has served as Resident Representative on Student Government in 2006-2007, and was elected as the School of Media Studies Representative in October 2007. She has also worked as a Residence Assistant, having lived in Residence for two years. Jessica has also worked at the Student Activity Centre for three years.
“This is a great opportunity and I am honoured to be selected by Student Government,” she said. We are looking forward to some exciting events in the upcoming semester both at the Student Activity Centre and around the College.”
Jessica will hold office as President until the students of Loyalist College elect a new Student Government. The nomination period for next year’s Student Government leaders begins Tuesday, January 15.
