Hosted by Ontario’s public colleges, the CIP is an excellent opportunity to meet with representatives from various colleges and get the information needed to make an informed decision about post-secondary education. Last October, more than 1,000 visitors participated in the Loyalist College CIP stop, including students from 26 high schools, from four different school boards. They asked questions about campus life, housing and student services, and got information on how and when to apply.

In addition to applying online, prospective students can now apply from their phone – anytime and from anywhere – using the new ontariocolleges.ca app. It allows applicants to create an application or log in to an existing application; browse Ontario college programs; create a favourites list of programs; add up to five programs to their application, with no more than three at any one college; request transcripts; pay for and submit their application; and view, accept and decline offers of admission.
