Kingston, ON, Thursday, November 16, 2017 – On November 15, 2017 the Association of Fundraising Professionals, South Eastern Ontario Chapter hosted an awards gala to recognize the 24 outstanding nominees over 7 categories for National Philanthropy Day. It was a wonderful evening to honour the people and organizations across South Eastern Ontario who go above and beyond in support of the causes they care about!
The Honourees in each category were as follows:
Award for Outstanding Corporation/Organization Greater Than 100 Employees/Members

Award for Outstanding Corporation/Organization 99 Employees/Members and Fewer

Award for Outstanding Philanthropist
- Lanny and Catharine Huff
Award for Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser

Award for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, Individual and Group 17 Years and Under
- Kira and Claire Allen
Award for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, Individual and Group 18-23 years
- Marc Levin
Award for Outstanding Professional Fundraiser
- Jessica Duggan
“What a fantastic evening! It’s always so wonderful to have so many organizations, corporations, and young people in one room, coming together to celebrate their outstanding efforts and unbelievable passion for the causes they care about,” says AFP SEO President Shannon Coull. “Our organizations couldn’t do the work we do without all of our supporters and volunteers, including the 24 nominees tonight, who are each champions for the organizations who nominated them.
